Light winds, a rookie crew and a boat fully loaded for a 3 week cruise to the Bras D'Or Lakes is not a winning race formula but it was fun to have Allison, her cousin Laura, a first time sailor and MacKenzie, another rookie sailor aboard for the second Saturday Race.
We battled with Fly-Bye-Wire and Abigale most of the way around but in the end we weren't able to maintain our small lead in the final reaching leg. The girls seemed to enjoy themselves however and as always, being on the water with our BHYC buddies is always fun.
