Sail #2015 - 1: Frostbite Cruise

Oddly enough, while the last of the snow only melted a few weeks ago, we managed to get out on Exploits for our first sail of 2015 in early June.  Sadly, most boats are still on the hard.

The conditions were great, which is surprising given the 30 plus mph gusts the day before.  It was a cool but very comfortable cruise down towards Bayhead.  This is one of our favorite parts of the Bay, with green rolling hills that seem to drop into the water.  We were joined by some old friends, Gaila and Fly-Bye-Wire and some new sailors on Trade Winds and Kittiwake.  The statistician aboard Gaila reported an average sailing speed of 5 knots. .

Exploits performed well and seems to be in good working order.

Great start to 2015.

Sail #2015 - 1.  My favorite view.
